Rough edit - North Chamber Trailer

north chamber from Rebecca Ainsworth on Vimeo.

We have finished a rough version of our trailer. We have not yet added music or sound effects to the production. Doing so will enhance the trailers overall performance and the
audience will find it much more engaging to watch.

There are a number of issues that we have yet to deal with. First of all we have a couple of scenes towards the end that are not yet in the edit and we urgently need to add them in along with titles. Also we need to look at reducing the background noise especially in the opening few scenes as this will enhance the believability of the trailer, most importantly we need to get rid if the background noise in the store cupboard scene because this is very distracting, however we cannot have a silent room and therefore need to go and record some background music. Alongside this we need to find tense music to increase tension felt by the audience so that when the door slams shut they will hopefully find this fearful and jump.

Within this scene we also hope to record the monologue that we have written. This will act as a trailer convention and therefore hopefully reduce any ideas that the production is a short film and not a trailer.

Another factor that I believe needs updating is to shorten the clip sizes as some of them are quite long and I fear that the viewers might find them slightly boring and switch off which would then mean that later on in the trailer when the more exciting and tense scenes happen they will not find them as enthralling as they should do with full concentration.
